What is Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™?
A dietary supplement that contains a prebiotic (FOS), and 2 probiotics (Saccharomyces Boulardii, Bacillus coagulans) that help maintain intestinal health.† The combination of a Prebiotic plus a Probiotic is known as a synbiotic. Synbiotics produce a synergistically beneficial effect.
What are Probiotics?
Live microorganisms which when administered in adequate amount confer a health benefit on the host.
What are Prebiotics?
Nondigestible food ingredients that beneficially affects the host by selectively stimulating the growth and/or activity of one or a limited number of bacteria in the colon.
How many colony forming units (cfu) does Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™ contain?
8.5 billion cfu per serving (1 chewable tablet, or 1 powder pak)
How do I take Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™?
It comes in two forms. A pineapple/orange chewable tablet and an unflavored powder. Take 1-2 servings daily as recommended by your health care professional. For enteral tube administration, mix the powder with 30 ml water & follow with 30 ml flush. Mix just prior to administration. For oral consumption of the powder, dissolve with 30ml juice and consume immediately.
Does Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™ interact with any medication?
Since one of the ingredients in Diff-Stat is a non-pathogenic yeast (Saccharomyces Boulardii) that can be affected by oral antifungal medications, Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™ should be taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after anti-fungal medication.
Does Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™ contain lactose?
No. This is lactose-free.
If I have a yeast allergy, can I take Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™?
The yeast that most people develop allergies to is pathogenic yeast. The yeast in Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™ is a non-pathogenic yeast. Do not use if you have a yeast allergy.
Does Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™ need to be refrigerated?
No it does not need to be refrigerated. Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
How long can I take Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™?
If you want to keep taking Diff-Stat® with Syntrinox™ to maintain health intestinal function you may do so.†
